Festival branding, marketing, way finding and merchandise
We were delighted with the opportunity to work on this years’ Light Night, Leeds biggest city-centre event.
Now in it’s 14th year, we felt that such an important festival for the city needed its own distinct ‘brand’. While Light Night has previously had its own logo - its never really had the full visual identity that it deserves. Although primarily an ‘arts’ festival - it was important to keep the look and feel very much approachable, and to feel welcoming to as many people as possible.
We wanted the branding to celebrate the diversity on show at Light Night, and adopted a ‘psychedelic’ illustration approach, with design and words capture the true spirit of Light Night – creativity, excitement and energy. The key image features a family entering the city, with colour and light bursting from a torch beam.
We go every year and know what a great night it is. By contributing, we felt we were playing a part in keeping the event alive. We’ve loved working on the project and we’re really proud with the end result.
We produced a wide range of materials for the evening - from event guide, posters and flyers, to digital screens, billboards, way finding and merchandise.
